NEW MOVEMENT
The Christmas issue of movement is out! The day after i got home from Europe i jetted straight down to sydney for the movement xmas party/launch of the new mag, was nothing but wild times with everyone... Thomas Robinson scoring a mixed cover with Rawlins, Indian madness with Gornall Thomas and myself, epic Jarred Houston profile, Ewan and finlay in Nias, huge Rawlins/FOUND feature and heaps more shit in there. 1KG MAG!!!! here's some shots i snuck into the mag.
LATEST EXCURSION DOWN THE COAST
I was over sitting at home on my ass with no waves so i headed down for the last aussie tour comp of the year in kiama. After Novy, Riggers and myself got knocked on a friday afternoon there was no choice but to head to sydney for a night out...
I then decided to stay down for the week to surf some fun blackrock, Scored a really fun afternoon with grizz and wilso, then a crowded day and a sneaky morning that was uncrowded.
The boys dropped me off in Bondi to stay at nick o, Liam, harry and his gf at their new house for the night and catch a plane the next morning. We ended up loose as gooses and i typically missed my flight.
I booked another one for the next morning and the plan was to have a quiet one and actually make this flight. Nothing went to plan, Harry came home from work, Stoney came over and i ended up having to do an all nighter so i didnt miss it again...
Now i have some time at home to prepare myself for the canaries in December.

WILD TRAVELS
Recently i have ventured on a completely different and wild trip to anything i am used to.
Hanging in India for a few weeks traveled around seeing the sites of the wild place!!
I Had never even been to bali before so had no idea what to expect. Culture shock hit me hardddd!! Curries for breakfast lunch and tea weren't too bad but.

BIRTHDAY PRESENTS
After working for 9 days straight i returned home on my birthday hungover and having a shithouse time. Two days later everything had changed, got my new boards in the water and a package from Grand Flavour arrived. Scored all the winter gear and some early summer gear, jumpers,jackets,boardies,singlets,hats,jeans,cords and shorts. The new boardies are INCREDIBLE!!!!! well done and thanks fellers.
WEEKEND TRIP
This weekend i decided to duck down to Sydney for a few days. Blackrock was looking the goods so i was frothing. I ended up venturing down with Max Arent, Ben Player and Will Hodget (mega movie) to try get some waves, unfortunately it was rainy and the waves weren't as good as we hoped so we pulled the pin after a day and returned to Sydney for a night out. Here's a little framie from Will.

GROMMET OBSESSION

Growing up at home there was a huge group of about 30 or 40 of us that used to meet in the dark on our bikes every morning, surf for 2 hrs before school...Last one in would have flat tyres. All hang out at school, and then all surf again after school.We all had our ''favourite riders'' and it was a bit of a competition to see who's rider would get the most shots in the latest mags and who could make the biggest wall at home. (rawlins wall,hardy wall etc.)
Me and a few others took it to the next level of being Rawlins groupies. We used to get the same colour boards, only wear churchills, cross our legs the same way, deliberately get sunburnt to get a singlet tan like rawlins in the mentawais, Dubb a tape of ONLY rawlins sections,wear rashies over wetsuits for no reason but to look like a photo of his, i had 3 walls filled and half of my roof filled with rawlins cut outs (still there), on the way to school i'd stop at my mates and we would watch the Rawlins section on lost cause 3 times then try make it to school on time.
It's funny to look back now and have a laugh about it. Everyone has hero's, i think we were just a bit obsessed.
BIT OF BAD LUCK
2 weeks ago i ventured south to the Box Beach Pro. The whole set up was epic with the all the organising and sponsors etc. Unfortunately the waves were minimal and it was pushing 1 and a half foot. I got knocked in the semi and ended up equal 6th. Jones Russell stole the win from novy in the final to take the winners cheque.
A few days later i ventured to S.A with Novy,Rigby and the Miatke brothers to film. The second day i ran into a bit of bad luck and popped my shoulder out. I was flopping around in the channel and got it back in, this is the 3rd time its happened now. The next few days it was swolen and really painful, i was forced to sit on the rocks and watch Riggers and Novy nuts in pumping waves. Im home now and am working on getting the shoulder strong to try prevent it from happening again.
